During the past week things have remained pretty much the same, but I have spent more time talking with my friends and family. One of the people I reached out to was my uncle in Puerto Rico. He said that it wasn’t a big change for him, but getting groceries or doing small tasks had become “quite annoying.” A five minute trip to go in and out of the store was taking two hours. He told me that he is staying home with my aunt and they are taking it day by day, keeping busy watching TV and experimenting with food. I have also been keeping tabs on some of my friends that I graduated from high school with and they say that it's the same on their end. No one is alone in this crisis.
